The Minister of Interior, retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, has directed the leadership of the Nigeria Police to fish out the killers of eight students of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, Talata Mafara, in Zamfara.
This is contained in a statement signed by Mr Osaigbovo Ehisienmen, Press Secretary to the minister, in Abuja.
The minister described the gruesome murder of the eight students “as barbaric, uncivilised and highly reprehensible”.
Dambazau also urged the police to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act were brought to justice, as this would ensure justice for the victims.
He charged the police to urgently re-activate its campus intelligence network to see that incidences of such nature were nipped in the bud before they occurred.
Dambazau admonished Nigerian Youths to avoid taking the laws into their hands and to adhere to laid down procedures in settling their differences.
