Mr Alex Ladan, the gubernatorial candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) in Plateau, has tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct free, fair and credible polls.
Ladan said this on Tuesday in Jos at a media forum organised by the Correspondents’ chapel of the Plateau chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ).
The candidate advised the electoral body to be neutral and transparent during the conduct of the forthcoming general polls.
“After the Osun and Ekiti elections, Nigerians developed some level of doubt about INEC’s capacity to conduct a credible and acceptable election in this country.
“So, I want to call on the electoral body to maintain high level of neutrality and transparent to deliver free, fair and credible polls,“ he said.
Earlier, Mr Aminu Idegu, the Chairman of the chapel said the media forum aimed at providing opportunity for politicians seeking elective offices, to air out their plans for the people.
