“We want to embark on the tour and identify talented physically challenged with a view to giving them a sense of belonging, “ he said.
According to him, there are talented physically challenged that should be encouraged to participate actively in sports.
He noted that para-athletes in Gombe had recorded feats which included wining of medals at a championship held in Abuja, and participation in the All African Games trial among others.
Swa said that one of the objectives of the tour was to motivate members of the association toward achieving success in their chosen careers.
The Chairman, Gombe State Sports Commission, Malam Muhammad Sulaiman, said the state would provide the needed equipment to its sports’ associations in its quest to develop their facilities.
He said that the Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo-led administration was sports inclined and had invested heavily in the sector.
