Vietnam chased away a small fleet of Chinese fishing boats from near its coast in the South China Sea, local media reported on Friday.
The media report said that Border defence forces in Quang Binh province boarded six fishing vessels about 20 nautical miles from Vietnam’s Con Co Island.
It added that the 24 fishermen, who reportedly carried no identification, were escorted out of the area.
Report says fishing is usually prohibited within 200 nautical miles without prior arrangements.
