The Emir of Lafia in Nasarawa State, Alhaji Isah Mustapha-Agwai, has called for religion tolerance among Nigerians.
Mustapha-Agwai made the call on Thursday in Lafia, when he received the Migili Muslim Forum, who paid him a courtesy visit at his palace.
The first class traditional ruler urged members of the forum to preach peace and extend their hands of friendship to non-Muslims toward peaceful co-existence in the society.
He urged Nigerians to be law abiding and respect constituted authority so as to ensure a conducive environment for speedy development.
The emir advised parents to take the education of their children seriously, pointing out that it was the only guarantee to a better future.
Earlier, the State Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Ja’afaru Mohammed, had said that the visit was to appreciate the role the emir was playing toward promoting peace among communities in the state.
