Fashola commissions first offshore substation at ilashe island, Lagos

Minister of power, works and housing Babatunde Fashola has commissioned the first off shore substation constructed by the transmission company of Nigeria at ilashe island, Oriade local government development area of Lagos state.

This is in furtherance to its mandate of connecting the whole nation to the national grid.

The off shore sub station will deliver about 24 megawatts power to ilashe, and surrounding communities.

TCN says the location of ilashe and it’s sister communities between the lagoon and the ocean makes it a prime candidate for expansion and growth of tourism in Lagos state and the country in general.
