Former President Goodluck Jonathan, Tuesday, paid a private visit to former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida and former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, at their Hilltop residences in Minna.
Our correspondent reliably gathered that the meeting between the former President and Gen Babangida lasted about 40 minutes. After the meeting with Gen, Babangida, Jonathan was said to have also proceeded to Gen. Abubakar Abduksalami’s residence immediately for another Marathon discussion. The former President was accompanied to the two former Nigeria leaders by former Minister of State for Finance, Bashar Yuguda, from Zamfara State and his former Chief of Staff, Chief Mike Oghiadomhe. Details of the discussion between the Nigeria leaders were not made known to the press as those who even accompanied the former President to the former military leaders were also barred from the two private meetings. Sources, however, told our correspondent that the visit might be in connection with national issues bordering on the restoration of peace in the Niger Delta and the need t for a peaceful governorship election in Edo State, among others. The former President was said to have left for Abuja immediately after the talks.
