The management of Kaduna United FC says the team will engage the Supreme Court FC of Abuja engage in a friendly match in place of Giwa FC in the Nigeria National League (NNL).
The club’s Media Officer, Jide Bodunde, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Kaduna that the Giwa was replaced because it has been withdrawn from the NNL.
NAN reports that NNL has confirmed that Giwa FC was no longer participating in the competition pending the matter against the club in the Supreme Court.
It said that with the matter in the Supreme Court, there was no way they could participate in a league supervised by the football house.
Bodunde said the match was to prepare them for the away match against Jigawa Golden Stars in the Match Day 3 of the competition on April 2, at the Hadeija Township Stadium.
“Kaduna United will engage Supreme Court FC on Monday at the Township Stadium to prepare us for the away match against Jigawa Stars,’’ he said.
According to the media officer, the club needs to win to make up for their away lost to FRSC Abuja in the Match Day 1 of the league.
“Our target this season is to play good games, win them and gain promotion to play in the higher league which I am confident of.’’
He added that the club had lined up different friendly matches to build the club stronger. (NAN)
