The U.S. Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Stuart Symington, on Wednesday announced that the U.S. Government would assist Nigeria in human rights and justice administration.
Symington made the announcement when he paid a courtesy visit on Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje at the Government House in Kano.
”The U.S. remains absolutely committed to collaborating with Nigeria in the administration of justice to the less-privileged.”
He said that no nation could prosper without access to justice by the less-privileged.
The envoy said that he would visit Nigeria’s six geo-political zones to learn from the people and to also ensure that the less-privileged had access to justice.
“Kano is important to Nigeria and Nigeria is very important to the United States,” he stated.
Ganduje told the envoy that the State Government was willing to partner with the U.S.
He thanked the envoy for the visit, commending him for his plans to make his country a partner in progress with Nigeria.
